1990 — the start. Associated Bagasse Company was set up in Meerut to trade in sugar cane bagasse and the other agro-residues that western Uttar Pradesh produces in volume. Modest capital, one office, a phone and a notebook of factory contacts.
The catalogue widened. Rice husk from the rice belt, saw dust from the timber yards, mustard husk from the oil mills — and as boiler technology shifted, the demand for finer feeds and compacted fuels followed. We added wood chips, wood powder and rice husk powder to the line.
Then the manufacturing yard. Briquettes and pellets are different beasts — they need a press, a cooler and a dispatch dock. Setting up our own facility at Partapur let us stop reselling somebody else's spec and start setting our own. That yard is what separates ABC Fuels from a trading-only supplier.
Today. ABC Fuels Pvt. Ltd. dispatches nine biomass fuels to factories pan-India, with day-to-day supplier conversations handled by Vikas from the office at Kanha Chambers. Same trade, same city, three and a half decades on.
