03 · The mark

A cherry built from toy bricks. Don't redraw it; do let it breathe.

Minimum clear space around the mark equals the height of the leaf. Don't recolour the cherry dot — that small red is the only place pure cherry red is allowed inside the mark. Wordmark sits to the right at small sizes; stack vertically only above 96px.

04 · Components

Soft edges, generous padding, no shadows. The visual register of a community noticeboard.

Feels like

  • A flyer pinned on the village hall noticeboard
  • Tea in a chipped mug, kids on the rug
  • A school-fete poster done with care
  • A friend texting an address and a time
  • The Rickmansworth Toy Library, in spirit

Never feels like

  • A council compliance leaflet
  • A startup landing page with a pricing table
  • A national charity's fundraising appeal
  • A retail toy-shop banner ad
  • Anything that uses the word "solutions"

06 · Application notes

Six rules that keep the brand from drifting once other hands are on it.

  1. One accent per screen.

Cherry red is for one thing per page — usually the eyebrow tag or a single CTA underline. Two cherries on a screen is one too many.

  2. Headlines breathe.

Display headlines get generous line-height and stop at 14 characters wide. Don't centre them; left-align so the eye lands fast.

  3. Cream, not white.

The page background is always #FBF7EF, not pure white. Cards and inputs may sit on white — but the canvas behind them is warm.

  4. Day, time, address — together, big.

Wherever a session is mentioned, the three facts travel as one block. Treat them like a poster, not body copy. Pill-shaped time tags help the eye pick them up.

  5. No drop shadows. No gradients on type.

Soft borders and warm tints carry the depth. Shadowed cards make the brand feel commercial; the goal is hand-pinned and friendly.

  6. Buttons are pills, not rectangles.

Fully rounded (border-radius 999px). Primary is solid navy on cream; secondary is bordered navy. Ghost is cherry text only — used once, for a soft "more" link.
