The Bhakti Center in Sector 5 opens its doors every day for darshan, chanting and the study of the Bhagavad Gita. No booking, no fee, no prior experience — come as you are.
Who we are
Everyone is welcome
ISKCON Karnal is a centre of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, following the teachings of Srila Prabhupada. What happens here is simple and has not changed in five hundred years: we chant the holy names, we read the Bhagavad Gita together, we cook and share prasadam, and we celebrate the festivals of the Vaishnava calendar.
You do not need to be a devotee to walk in. Many people come once, out of curiosity, and find they have somewhere to return to. Sit at the back, listen to the kirtan, take some prasadam, and leave when you like.

Darshan and aarti
The temple room follows the same rhythm every day, from the first lamp before dawn to the evening aarti. Come for any part of it.

Guiding Youths
Young voices, strong minds, shaping brighter futures. Students and working youth meet for discussion, service and kirtan — a circle of friends who keep each other steady.
03 · Chanting
Sankirtan Yagya
Chanting God’s glories, the real medicine to all problems. Devotees take the holy name out into Karnal — through the streets, into homes, and back to the temple room.

The Bhagavad Gita offers wisdom on duty, action, and achieving liberation through a dialogue between Krishna and Arjuna. We read it together every morning after Bhagavatam class and every Sunday evening — verse by verse, in Hindi and English, with time for questions.

Festivals and camps
The Vaishnava calendar gives the year its shape. Every festival at the Bhakti Center is open to the whole city — and every one of them ends with prasadam.
Our largest festival
Janmashtami
Krishna’s appearance day — a night of kirtan, abhishek, drama and midnight arati, followed by a feast. Around it we run an interschool competition that has become the centre’s best-known programme in Karnal.

Gaura Purnima
The appearance of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, marked with a day-long kirtan and a moonlit feast.
Radhashtami
Srimati Radharani’s appearance day, when the deities are dressed in fresh flowers.
Govardhan Puja
A hill of prasadam offered before the deities, remembering Krishna lifting Govardhan.
Kartik month
Thirty evenings of lamp offerings to Damodara — the gentlest month to begin visiting.
